Paul Norman is an innovative human resources executive with more than two decades of experience in strategic talent management supporting large field-based and corporate employee populations in the Healthcare, Hospitality, Technology, Financial Services, and Biotechnology industries. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge in transforming Talent Acquisition functions to achieve scalable high-volume hiring. He has built and aligned large, remote Talent Acquisition teams and strategy, including core TA processes, employer branding, employee referral programs, TA digital marketing, pre-employment screening programs, compliance, TA technology, and TA partner relationships. Paul has also integrated TA functions through periods of significant growth and M&A activity, including due diligence on TA capability of acquisition targets in public- and private- equity funded organizations. Paul understands the demands of companies struggling to hire high volumes of talent quickly at controllable costs and the challenges of driving difficult changes to align all the necessary stakeholders to achieve hiring goals.
Prior to joining Riviera Advisors, Paul was the Vice President of Talent Acquisition for Sevita, the leading provider of home and community-based specialty health care, where he transformed the Talent Acquisition function to achieve significant hiring growth. Paul was also the Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Travel + Leisure Co. (formerly Wyndham Destinations) where he was accountable for all recruiting activity across T+L’s broad global portfolio of resorts and sales centers and refocused the Talent Acquisition organization into a strategic driver of overall talent management. While serving as the Director of Recruiting at Rackspace, Paul designed and executed a global long-term recruiting vision and strategy to address recruiting operations, selection, leadership recruiting, workforce planning, talent branding, and university recruiting. Paul also served as the Vice President of Retail Bank Recruiting at Washington Mutual Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) and began his career as an Executive Recruiter in the Biotechnology industry.
Paul’s expertise in organizational change, high-volume hiring, and transforming TA strategy and processes has been valued and recognized by organizations, partners, professional associations and conferences. Paul is a highly sought-after speaker and has contributed to numerous articles on recruiting innovation and employment culture. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Workforce Commission Alamo Region and the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and has been active with the Orlando Economic Partnership and the San Antonio Youth Hockey Association.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan. He is based in San Antonio, TX
